What is Premier ICF?

Premier ICF  Insulated Concrete Form System (ICF) is a faster, stronger, greener insulated concrete form system consisting of R-Shield® rigid termite treated insulation and Premier ICF Tie connectors.

The system combines the insulating effectiveness of R-Shield rigid insulation with the structural integrity of concrete. The result is a strong, insulated building. The Premier ICF system is used in residential and commercial construction.

The Premier ICF System remains in place after the concrete is poured, serving as a wall, insulation, and facing material. Floor and roof assemblies are connected to the wall as with any poured concrete wall.

Premium ICF Applications

The Premier ICF system uses 1’ x 8’ planks of R-Shield with termite treatment joined by a Premier ICF Tie connector every 12” both horizontally and vertically. The Premier ICF Tie connector creates a cavity for the concrete between two faces of 2” high-density R-Shield with termite treatment.

The Premier ICF system remains in place after the concrete is poured, serving as wall, insulation, and attachment base for facing material. Floor and roof assemblies are connected to the wall similar to any poured concrete wall.

Components of Premier ICF

The Premier ICF Insulated Concrete Form system consists of R-Shield® Insulation with termite treatment and Premier ICF Tie connectors. Premier ICF comes as compact components – ties and insulation planks. These are easy to handle and less expensive to ship. They occupy only 45% of the volume of typical “block” ICF systems.
